The Council is seeking to appoint a single specialist contractor to deliver mains water excavation repairs. This will include excavations to access burst mains through soft and hard ground, mains water pipe work repairs inside individual properties and communal areas, and mains water pipework re-runs.

Cadent Gas Limited requires a Local Delivery Partners (LDP’s) to support the delivery of our Gas Mains Replacement Program (MRP) and Non-Mains Replacement Program (Non-MRP) as part of the RIIO2 price control period. Currently Cadent replace approximately 2000 km of mains per year delivered by our existing suppliers. It is our intention to let a number of packages of work tendered via the Dynamic Procurement System (DPS) for MRP and Non-MRP within Cadent’s networks. The works will comprise of excavation, back-fill and reinstatement to facilitate Mains and Service replacement and abandonment including all necessary job completion data and data required for Regulatory Reporting

Suitably qualified and competent contractors will make up an approved list of companies that will work in partnership to deliver services or works for construction, repairs and maintenance on an as and when basis, to meet the demands of peaks and troughs and to utilise specialist companies for services or works not currently carried out by internal teams
