  • This tender is for the collection of wave characterisation data at Pevensey Bay, Sussex. The mixed, shingle barrier beach at Pevensey Bay, Sussex, represents a crucial asset in flood defence and coastal risk management along the East Sussex coastline. The 9 km frontage is highly dynamic, and suffers a net loss of sediment due to littoral drift, partly blocked by the Sovereign Harbour breakwaters. The spatial and temporal variations in beach volume, erosion and rollback remain poorly understood, and interventions to redistribute beach material are continuous.
  • Thames Water Utilities Ltd (TWUL) is intending to award a number of framework agreements for the supply of high voltage (up to 36kV) switchgear, motor starters, transformers, associated ancillary equipment and related design and installation services. These goods and services will be used on our operational water and wastewater sites. TWUL has approximately 150 high voltage sites varying in size from a single transformer up to large and relatively complex distribution systems with generators and/or motor drives with the majority of the latter being located in and around the London area.
