ESB is seeking expressions of interest to obtain a place on a qualification system that will be established for EPC companies to: Design, Supply, Install and Maintain all elements of a ground mounted solar development. The projects will be located in Ireland and the UK, and the qualification system may include projects developed by ESB, ESB joint venture companies (existing or yet to be formed), ESB subsidiary companies or companies ESB Group has a minority interest in. ESB plans to develop ground-mounted solar farms commencing in 2019, through a pipeline of planned projects. Applicants should note that the detailed scope and contracting strategy for each project will be determined in any subsequent procurement competition (which may include a further pre-qualification process before the tender phase).

Following a procurement exercises Hackney Council has awarded a contract for the provision of Highways Maintenance, covering improvement of footways, carriageways, street lighting and other associated highways maintenance works. The purpose of this Notice is to inform the market of the additional works/services to be performed by UBB Waste (Essex) Limited following a proposed amendment of its contract with ECC for the design, construction, commissioning, operation and handback of a mechanical biological treatment facility in Basildon. The facility did not pass the acceptance tests specified in the contract which led to ECC commencing litigation against the contractor. The Authority has given notice that it is proposing to take a decision to enter into an Agreement to settle that litigation and to amend the handback requirements of the contract such that the site will be returned to ECC in a condition that will allow for its future redevelopment. It is expected that the modified contract will expire in 2040.
