The Enabling Civils Works (Package 2) (ECW2) Contract is to carry out the enabling civils works for HS2 Phase 2a, consisting of the construction of a bridge and associated slip roads across the M6 motorway at Yarnfield Lane, Stone, Staffordshire, together with highways improvements to Yarnfield lane; and off-route road improvement schemes at 20 locations across the line of route that are intended to mitigate the effects of increased traffic numbers during the main HS2 construction works with associated survey works. The Contract included route wide engineering and environmental surveys to inform the design of the railway.

The Welsh Ministers (WM) have let a contract to design and construct approximately 6.1km of new trunk road to the north of Llanddewi Velfrey and Narberth under the “A40 Llanddewi Velfrey to Redstone Cross Improvements Project”. The scheme will also include a package of Active Travel and De-trunking works to the old A40 carriageway.

Project will comprise the construction of 1no. three-storey BREEAM Excellent workshed, including solar PVs, with a total GIA of circa 1,328m2. As part of the works the contractor will provide all required external and landscaping works, including planting, alterations to boundaries, provision of parking, and provision of infrastructure to the buildings. The construction of an external plant room, a cycle store, and a bin store to serve the development concludes the generic scope of construction work. As part of the RIBA Stage 4 design, or as part of construction if the conditional permission permits, the contractor must provide the design information and documentation required to discharge the planning conditions for which they are responsible on this project.

The contract is for the contractor to develop with the Council a high-performing, comprehensive highways service. The contract encompasses highway maintenance, design, construction, transport planning, consultancy with other services including but not limited to vehicle and grounds maintenance.

The purpose of this Notice is to inform the market of the additional works/services to be performed by UBB Waste (Essex) Limited following a proposed amendment of its contract with ECC for the design, construction, commissioning, operation and handback of a mechanical biological treatment facility in Basildon. The facility did not pass the acceptance tests specified in the contract which led to ECC commencing litigation against the contractor. The Authority has given notice that it is proposing to take a decision to enter into an Agreement to settle that litigation and to amend the handback requirements of the contract such that the site will be returned to ECC in a condition that will allow for its future redevelopment. It is expected that the modified contract will expire in 2040.

This tender is for the collection of wave characterisation data at Pevensey Bay, Sussex. The mixed, shingle barrier beach at Pevensey Bay, Sussex, represents a crucial asset in flood defence and coastal risk management along the East Sussex coastline. The 9 km frontage is highly dynamic, and suffers a net loss of sediment due to littoral drift, partly blocked by the Sovereign Harbour breakwaters. The spatial and temporal variations in beach volume, erosion and rollback remain poorly understood, and interventions to redistribute beach material are continuous.

Transport Scotland, on behalf of the Scottish Ministers, has identified the requirement to appoint multi-disciplinary Consultants to provide services for forthcoming roads related transport infrastructure projects and schemes to support its investment in and improvement of the trunk road and transportation infrastructure network.
