The projects will be located in Ireland and the UK, and the qualification system may include projects developed by ESB, ESB joint venture companies (existing or yet to be formed), ESB subsidiary companies or companies ESB Group has a minority interest in. ESB plans to develop ground-mounted solar farms commencing in 2019, through a pipeline of planned projects. Applicants should note that the detailed scope and contracting strategy for each project will be determined in any subsequent procurement competition (which may include a further pre-qualification process before the tender phase).

The role of the supplier under this contract will be to provide workers across the construction trades to support the refurbishment and repair works on site. These works will include the renovation of commercial buildings, improvements to the site's external spaces and repairs to the piled wharf structure. The Enabling Civils Works (Package 2) (ECW2) Contract is to carry out the enabling civils works for HS2 Phase 2a, consisting of the construction of a bridge and associated slip roads across the M6 motorway at Yarnfield Lane, Stone, Staffordshire, together with highways improvements to Yarnfield lane; and off-route road improvement schemes at 20 locations across the line of route that are intended to mitigate the effects of increased traffic numbers during the main HS2 construction works with associated survey works. The Contract included route wide engineering and environmental surveys to inform the design of the railway.

The proposed works covered under the Highways Capital Improvement Projects Term Contract typically but not exhaustively include: New kerbing and footway works; Carriageway realignment, reconstruction, planing and surfacing works; Junction improvement works; Traffic Signal Junctions and Controlled Crossings (Puffin, Toucan and Pegasus); Installation of Bus Stops and pedestrian crossing point to DDA standards; Provisions for cycling; Installation of street furniture; Traffic calming features. Site-specific details will be issued with the individual works packages.

The works consist of EHV Tower and Mast refurbishments consisting of mast replacement, re-insulation, painting, replacement of foundation muffs and tower furniture. The projects will be delivered in 2021-2022 and are geographically located in the Northeast and Yorkshire License areas.
