The Enabling Civils Works (Package 2) (ECW2) Contract is to carry out the enabling civils works for HS2 Phase 2a, consisting of the construction of a bridge and associated slip roads across the M6 motorway at Yarnfield Lane, Stone, Staffordshire, together with highways improvements to Yarnfield lane; and off-route road improvement schemes at 20 locations across the line of route that are intended to mitigate the effects of increased traffic numbers during the main HS2 construction works with associated survey works. The Contract included route wide engineering and environmental surveys to inform the design of the railway.

ESB is seeking expressions of interest to obtain a place on a qualification system that will be established for EPC companies to: Design, Supply, Install and Maintain all elements of a ground mounted solar development. The projects will be located in Ireland and the UK, and the qualification system may include projects developed by ESB, ESB joint venture companies (existing or yet to be formed), ESB subsidiary companies or companies ESB Group has a minority interest in. ESB plans to develop ground-mounted solar farms commencing in 2019, through a pipeline of planned projects.
