Procure Plus wishes to establish a dynamic purchasing system with multiple service providers for the service and repair of domestic heating appliances. The service required within the DPS will include a standard 3* comprehensive service and maintenance provision for gas fired central heating installations and miscellaneous gas appliances.

The works comprise the annual service and maintenance to all Association owned appliances of gas heating systems and appliances following manufacturer’s requirements and shall include everything necessary for this check, including but not restricted to all labour, parts etc., of all gas installations, including appliances and flues. Also included will be the annual servicing and maintenance of unvented hot water cylinders. The pricing of the works will be on an all inclusive annual basis for all works, servicing and reactive maintenance.

We aim to procure a hydrogen fuel cell tests station. It will be used to investigate the impact of the operating conditions (i.e. the temperature, pressure, gas composition and humidity) on single fuel cell or small fuel cell stacks. The Enabling Civils Works (Package 2) (ECW2) Contract is to carry out the enabling civils works for HS2 Phase 2a, consisting of the construction of a bridge and associated slip roads across the M6 motorway at Yarnfield Lane, Stone, Staffordshire, together with highways improvements to Yarnfield lane; and off-route road improvement schemes at 20 locations across the line of route that are intended to mitigate the effects of increased traffic numbers during the main HS2 construction works with associated survey works. The Contract included route wide engineering and environmental surveys to inform the design of the railway.

South Tyneside Council wishes to install a district heating system serving several Council owned buildings in central Hebburn utilising the disused mine workings under Hebburn as a heat source. The installation of such a district heating scheme will reduce the Council’s reliance on gas to provide heating and significantly contribute to the Council’s commitment to its Carbon Reduction targets, and this scheme alone will provide a saving of 319 tonnes/year saving. A separate contract has been awarded to undertake the drilling of two boreholes, and the construction of permanent abstraction and re-injection wells. The water source heat pump adopted in this project will be able to source heat from both the mine water as well as ambient air (via dry air cooler) in the event that the mines are found to be unable to provide a sustainable mine water heat source.
